Tiny Dancers
18 Months – 4 Years

TIPTOE TOTS
Ages 18 Months-2 Years
This 30-minute class gently introduces our tiniest dancers to the world of movement and music. Through playful activities, simple dance steps, and rhythmic exploration, Tiptoe Tots begin developing important skills like listening, following directions, socialization, and early friendship—all in a fun and nurturing environment. This class begins as a mommy-and-me style class and will transition to an independent class as the dancers become comfortable in the studio.

PRE-BALLET
Ages 3-4
This 45-minute class introduces young dancers to the foundational elements of classical ballet in a structured yet imaginative setting. Dancers will begin learning proper body positions, balance, spatial awareness, and group movement. At the pre-ballet level, dancers will use the ballet barre, practice simple stretches, and start exploring basic French ballet terminology—all while building confidence, discipline, and a love for dance.

BALLET/TUMBLING
Ages 3-4
This 45-minute class blends the grace of ballet with the energy of beginner tumbling. Dancers will develop coordination, balance, and spatial awareness through ballet technique, including basic positions, barre work, and simple stretches. Tumbling takes place on mats and introduces forward rolls, head tucks, headstands, bridges, and balancing skills in a safe, supportive environment. Students will also begin learning French ballet terminology while gaining confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation for future movement.

BALLET/POP TOTS
Ages 3-4
This 45-minute class blends the grace of ballet with the energy of pop music. Dancers will develop coordination, balance, and spatial awareness through ballet technique, including basic positions, barre work, and simple stretches. Students will also begin learning French ballet terminology while gaining confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation for future movement.

BALLET/JAZZ
Ages 5-7
WDC’s Ballet/Jazz combo class introduces dancers to the structure and grace of ballet alongside the energy and expression of jazz. In the ballet portion, dancers will learn the five foundational positions, work at the barre, and explore center and across-the-floor combinations—all while developing poise, posture, and classical technique. The jazz portion brings high energy and fun, focusing on turns, kicks, leaps, and dynamic choreography that builds strength, flexibility, and confidence. Together, these styles create a well-rounded dancer by developing both disciplined technique and expressive movement.

BALLET/TAP
Ages 5-7
WDC’s Ballet/Tap combo class offers dancers the elegance and discipline of ballet alongside the rhythmic fun of tap. In the ballet segment, students will learn the five fundamental positions, work at the barre, and develop balance, spatial awareness, and graceful movement. Tap classes focus on using the feet as instruments to create rhythm and sound, building musicality, timing, and precise footwork. Together, ballet and tap cultivate confidence, coordination, and a strong connection between movement and music—all in a lively, supportive environment.

BALLET/HIP HOP
Ages 5-7
WDC’s Ballet/Hip Hop combo class blends the discipline and elegance of ballet with the high-energy, expressive style of hip hop. Ballet provides dancers with a strong technical foundation through the five fundamental positions, barre work, and center combinations, fostering balance, posture, and grace. Hip hop brings a dynamic contrast, encouraging freestyle movement and teaching the essentials of popping, locking, and breaking. Together, these styles build confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork—all while offering a fun and engaging dance experience.
CORE CLASSES
Ages 8+

BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of dance, as an art form and discipline. Dancers will learn the 5 proper positions of the feet and body, balance, spatial awareness, group movement, and structure. At all levels, dancers will utilize the ballet barre, learn center and across the floor combination choreography, and continue the development of French terminology. Ballet instills confidence, respect, and tradition while building mental strength, focus, physical coordination, grace and posture.

JAZZ
Jazz is a vibrant and expressive dance style that combines energy, technique, and personality. In this fun, fast-paced class, dancers build core strength, flexibility, and endurance while developing self-confidence and stage presence. Students will learn both classic and current choreography featuring turns, kicks, leaps, and trick jumps. The athleticism of jazz strengthens the arms, legs, and core, helping dancers become well-rounded and technically strong performers.

TAP
Tap teaches dancers to use their feet as instruments, creating rhythm and sound through precise, percussive movement. This class strengthens musicality, sharpens a dancer’s sense of timing, and helps them connect movement to music. Dancers will build core strength, improve balance and coordination, and develop control and clarity in their footwork—all while having fun exploring the beat beneath their feet.

LYRICAL
Lyrical dance blends the techniques of ballet and jazz to create a powerful form of emotional expression. Dancers learn to connect deeply with music, using fluid, continuous, and graceful movements to tell a story. This style encourages artistic creativity, emotional awareness, and self-confidence, helping dancers grow both technically and expressively as they bring feeling to every step.

HIP HOP
Hip Hop is a high-energy, full-body dance style rooted in hip hop music and culture. Dancers will explore freestyle movement while learning the foundational elements of popping, locking, and breaking. This dynamic class promotes confidence, coordination, and creativity, while encouraging teamwork and self-expression. Hip hop also helps reduce stress—and most importantly, it’s a whole lot of FUN!

DRILL TEAM TECHNIQUE
This team-focused dance style is all about entertaining large crowds at sporting events, pep rallies, and parades. Dancers will develop sharp, clean, and precise arm movements, learn to execute tight kick lines and visual choreography, and build the stamina needed for high-energy, show-stopping performances. This class emphasizes synchronization, performance presence, and team unity—perfect for dancers who love to shine as part of a spirited group.

LEAPS & TURNS: LEVEL UP
Ages 12+
This class is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers who are ready to take their technique to the next level. Dancers must have a clean single pirouette (double preferred) and solid right and left jetés.
Class will focus on refining and advancing turn technique, including multiple pirouettes (3+), coupé turns, compass, pencil turns, a la secondes, fouettés, and specialty drops.
Leaps and jumps will emphasize power, height, and clean execution, with focus on right and left jetés, leaps in 2nd, surprise leaps, reverse leaps, and switch leaps. Dancers will also train in turning leaps such as calypsos, turning discs, and axels.
This class is ideal for dancers looking to improve strength, control, and performance quality while pushing their technical skills to the next level.

AERIAL PREP
Ages 8+
Aerial Prep is designed for dancers and participants ready to take the next step toward mastering their aerial. To be eligible, participants must have clean right and left cartwheels as well as a solid handstand. On the first day, dancers will be evaluated to ensure they meet the skill requirements for participation.
Throughout the session, dancers will work on building the strength, flexibility, control, and technique needed to achieve an aerial. Drills, progressions, and conditioning exercises will help each dancer safely develop the power and confidence required to reach this exciting milestone skill.
